Easter weekend

Tarana, all ready for her holiday

We were very excited about seeing Mt. Kenya

and watching the matchstick turn in opposite directions

on either sides of the equator

But T couldn't really see the point of all the fussing

She did love the waterfall

but preferred to look at it from the slide.

While we enjoyed long meals
 and lazy afternoons,

Tarna explored the countryside

and collected flowers in her hat!

We had to find her a swing everywhere we went.

Most exciting for T, was the river that flowed through our resort.

And most frustrating for the grown-ups wasthat none of us could remember how to make paperboats for her. We spent much of the day trying to rack our childhood recollections of making paperboats without any success; and our phones were too low on battery to call on naanu or google for help!

  2. Nice work. I came across your blog while “blog surfing” using the Next Blog button on the blue Nav Bar located at the top of my blogger.com site. I frequently just travel around looking for other blogs which exist on the Internet, and the various, creative ways in which people express themselves. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thanks, seriously, I am very happy for you to select photos & use, along with words; I don't really think I can write word for you. I hope this is OK, like your blog.
